What can I do?

Hello friends, Everyone is asking, "How can I help?" We all feel helpless as we watch Alyssa and her family bravely walk down this difficult path in life. The first and most important thing we can do is pray! I truly believe that God hears each and every prayer and is faithful to answer our request. The second thing we can do is love Alyssa's family. We can show our love by letting them focus on Alyssa while we take care of their needs. We are going to have a Pack the Pantry Party!!! On Wednesday, June 20th we will meet at the pavilion in the park by Mooneyham Elementary. The physical address is 2301 Eden Drive, McKinney, Texas. This is the park where Alyssa and Kailey play so I thought it would be the perfect place. We will be there from 7:30 and 8:30 pm. Feel free to drop off your donations and play at the park a while. I will take pictures and make a sideshow for Cyd and the family. You can donate money that will be used to pack her pantry and meet their needs. You can also bring gift cards for restaurants or snack foods for the waiting room. Cyd's parents and boys are staying at their house. Our goal is for the house to be completely stocked so they don't have to spend their precious time running back and forth to the store. If you are unable to come to the party, but would like to donate please feel free to email me at aggiegirl94@me.com. I will be happy to arrange a way to get your donations. Thank you for helping meet the needs of this precious family. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I would appreciate your help in getting this information out to everyone...please share this blog.

  2. We'll help however we can when we're there this weekend. Let me know what is still needed & I'll help get it a little cheaper if possible.

  3. As far as stuff for the family at the hospital, they could use more drinks--they like Gatorade, juice, and sodas (regular and diet). The waiting room has ice water provided. They have a couple of disposable coolers there to keep them cold. They have quite a few snacks--mostly chips and crackers--but not a lot of sweet stuff. They could definitely use gift cards to restaurants that are easy to find near Children's Dallas (I'm not sure what all is near that location, but I'm sure we could find out online). They have enough family members at the hospital to send someone to run and get the food.
